Art of Ceremony
A Summer Solstice Daylong to learn the foundations of ritual for healing, balancing, and communion.

The Power of Presence
There is a kind of space that, when we enter it, returns us to ourselves. Not because we have been instructed to feel something, but because the field itself has been made coherent — the room, the bodies, the silence, the unseen — and our scattered parts recognize the invitation to come home.
This is the presence field. It is the medicine beneath the form of ceremony. It is what the indigenous lineages have known how to make for millennia, what depth psychologists are slowly remembering, what every good therapist and teacher learns to hold in their own quieter way.
It is not magic. It is craft. And it can be learned.
This daylong is an introduction to the craft of building, holding, and inhabiting a coherent ceremonial field.
Who is this for?
This day is for therapists, somatic practitioners, healers, coaches, and guides who feel the limits of office-based work and want to bring earth, ritual, and contemplative depth into how they hold space with the people they serve — and how they live their own lives.
It is also for seekers and students of the deep work — people without formal practitioner roles who feel called toward an embodied, earth-rooted, ritual-literate way of being human.
It is for people who are willing to slow down, to put their phones away, to feel the body, to attend to what is subtle. It is for people who suspect that the dominant therapeutic and spiritual paradigms are not enough — and who are looking for what else is possible.
No prior experience with ceremony is needed. What is needed is the willingness to arrive.
What you will experience
A felt sense of being inside a coherent field for a whole day. From the moment you arrive, the space will be held. Most of us have never experienced a sustained presence field — once you have, you cannot unknow what it is.
The principles of how the field is made. The four foundations of field-building:
The embodied, sensual concentration of the practitioner
Relational presence and the noticing of what blocks contact
The realization of Being beneath the chatter of mind
Basic trust in organicity, the alchemical agent of the field
Presence as the first line of energetic safety, protection, and self-care. Most "energetic protection" begins after something has already arrived. Here we work with presence itself — coherent, grounded, embodied — as the ground beneath all further practice, and the most essential resource a healer or guide can cultivate.
A vocabulary for the layers of subtle experience. The three treasures of Taoist alchemy — jing, qi, shen — as a map for working with the energetic dimensions of ceremonial space.
Direct, embodied practice. Standing meditation, sounding, movement in relationship, and building small altars with water, fire, feathers, stone, and earth.
Inquiry into what blocks presence in your own life. A guided inquiry in pairs into the specific places where presence becomes difficult — in your work, your relationships, your body.
A take-home practice. A worksheet and template for designing a small personal ceremony to enact at home — your own practice, in your own life, made by your own hands.

The Summer Arc
This daylong is the first of three offered this summer. Each is complete in itself; together they form a foundation in the three core movements of ceremonial work.
June 20 — The Presence Field
Foundations of coherent ceremonial space. How fields are built, entered, and inhabited.
July 17 — Organicity: Clearing the Field, Following the Living Current
How to work with what arises. Energetic hygiene, clearing your own field, and trusting the intelligence of the work.
August 29 — Integration: Weaving Experience into the Psyche and Life
The art of completion. How ceremonial experience is metabolized into self, into life, and into ongoing practice.
Going Deeper
For those who feel called to go deeper, these summer daylongs prepare the ground for Art of Ceremony, a six-month hybrid training in earth-based contemplative practice and ceremonial craft. The program begins near the autumn equinox and combines weekly online teachings with two in-person weekends. It is designed for practitioners, guides, and serious students who want to develop their capacity to hold ceremonial space — in their work, in their communities, and in their lives.
