Art of Ceremony

The foundations of making rituals for healing and communion — drawn from traditional medicine and depth psychology.

Next Workshop: Friday July 17th, 2026 · 10:00am–5:00pm · Marin County, California

Learn the sacred inner workings of making a ceremony

Ceremony is our most ancient technology for human beings to come into balance, to heal, and to commune with the numinous. Moreso, it’s a sacred conversation from our heart to the heart of Creation.

Long before there was a clinical language for trauma, integration, or transformation, there was ritual — a deliberate shaping of space, attention, and energy that in turn changed physical reality. And through this process, we come into conversation with something much deeper and more Real than the habitual thinking mind.

Art of Ceremony is a training in that craft that draws together the tools and traditional ancestral medicines and systemic, body-based, relational psychotherapy.

It teaches the underlying grammar of effective ceremonial structures, offer practices for protecting and utilizing subtle energies, and a community to support you in cultivating these practices over time.

The outcome is that you’ll learn to make a more effective healing ritual with less effort, whether it’s with one person, in a dyad, or in your own private practice.

Who is this for?

This day is for therapists, guides, somatic practitioners, healers, and seekers who feel the limits of work and want to bring the wisdom of earth, ritual, and contemplative depth into how they hold space with the people they serve and how they live their own lives.

It is also for students of ceremony and life — people without formal practitioner roles who feel called toward an embodied, earth-rooted, ritual-literate way of living in balance.

It is for people who suspect that the dominant therapeutic and spiritual paradigms are not enough and who are looking for what else is possible. In these daylongs, we will slow down, feel the body, and listen to way Reality guides our process, while also learning how to listen to Reality.

No prior experience with ceremony is needed. What is needed is the willingness to arrive.

Itinerary Overview

The Summer Arc

This daylong is the first of three offered this summer. Each is complete in itself; together they form a foundation in the three core movements of ceremonial work.

Sept 26 — The Presence Field: The Basis of Ceremony

Foundations of coherent ceremonial space. How fields are built, entered, and inhabited.

July 17 — Organicity: Clearing the Field, Following the Living Current

How to work with what arises. Energetic hygiene, clearing your own field, and trusting the intelligence of the work.

August 29 — Integration: Weaving Experience into the Psyche and Life

The art of completion. How ceremonial experience is metabolized into self, into life, and into ongoing practice.

Going Deeper

For those who feel called to go deeper, these summer daylongs prepare the ground for Art of Ceremony, a six-month hybrid training in earth-based contemplative practice and ceremonial craft. The program begins near the autumn equinox and combines weekly online teachings with two in-person weekends. It is designed for practitioners, guides, and serious students who want to develop their capacity to hold ceremonial space — in their work, in their communities, and in their lives.

  • The Art of Ceremony course with Jordana was not only insightful but also very supportive. It helped me to reinforce stronger foundations for my spiritual practices as well as for the ways I show up in service. Getting a clearer understanding on how to incorporate natural rhythms and wisdom into our daily practice as well as in the way we integrate experiences. Feeling grateful for these teachings.

  • The Art of Ceremony was an excellent course that deepened my understanding of navigating medicine paths. It served as a lovely remembrance and integration of deep practices for cultivating presence, connection, and a wise relationship with medicine, nature, ceremony, and self. Jordana is an excellent facilitator, well-steeped in experience and wisdom, with the kind and patient demeanor befitting the navigation of this potent terrain. Whether you are an experienced facilitator of journeys for others, an interested neophyte, or somewhere in between, this course offers a rich and balanced exploration of what it means to hold space for oneself, as well as for others, in the context of sacred medicine work, meditation, sound healing, and the ceremony of everyday life. Highly recommended!

  • This class exposed me to concepts of energy, embodiment and healing which I’d never considered before, and which have quickly become essential parts of my work with clients. The teaching was engrossing, practical, and deeply illuminating, seamlessly blending allopathic and indigenous wisdom.
